Selfishness starts with self-centered thinking. This begins in childhood and hangs on for years unless it is dealt with. Getting out of one’s self is at the core of picking up our cross and following Jesus. Selfish people find it hard to let go and let God. Life is hard when the selfishness of childhood hangs across our shoulders and drags us down. Letting go of self is difficult but it is worth it. When we let go of self-centered think and begin to think in a Godly way, our whole world looks different. Making sacrifices out of love is the way so many people carry their cross. Christ did for us.
Alpha is coming! Please consider coming to Alpha and bring that friend who’s curious about Catholicism. Come out and find out what all the fuss is about. Come to Alpha.

Very Reverend Andrew Kemberling, V.F.
