Please join us for a Holy Hour for Religious Freedom and Jack Phillips!
The Supreme Court is going to hear Jack Phillip’s case on heard Tuesday, December 5.
Jack’s story: In July 2012, two men came into Masterpiece Cakeshop in Lakewood, CO, and asked Jack Phillips, the owner, to bake a wedding cake for them. They planned to marry in Massachusetts, where same-sex marriages were legal at the time, and then hold a reception in Colorado. But Jack Phillips politely declined, explaining that he would gladly make them any other type of baked item they wanted, but that he could not design a cake promoting a same-sex ceremony because of his faith. Shortly after that, the men filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The case has finally made it to the Supreme Court.
