If you or a loved one are in danger of death, please call the parish office immediately at (303) 744-6119 to allow time for a priest to come and administer the Anointing of the Sick.
After the loss of a loved one, the pain of their separation reminds us that death was never part of the plan. God didn’t create us to die; He created us to live with Him eternally. That’s why Jesus came and died on the cross. His resurrection defeated death, and no longer does that pain and suffering have the last word. Now, as Christians, we are invited to hope for the healing of our wounds and the wiping away of every tear, both now and in heaven. At a funeral mass or memorial service, we draw together to receive God’s comfort for us during a difficult time. As we remember those we have lost, we are invited to pray for them and each other in the midst of a world marked by death. Despite the darkness of this time, God offers us peace, comfort, and encouragement to continue fighting for everything good and beautiful.
